Hi nat1958

The best dissertation topic you can do is something that really interests you.  What has happened in your setting to really either get your goat! (Affect of EYFS, planning etc.,) What area do you really get interested in, for example extending the curriculum outdoors - and how practitioners could do this.

Some people have studied the effects of literacy in early years, outdoor play in various forms, Transitions (how these are handled and the effets of this on the staff and children)

What are you really interested in - because thats what matters and that is what will fuel your research.

Good luck

thanks Millie for all your help, i was thinking of mayb doing how to support childrens learning in the outdoor classroom and mayb tryin to think of a specific area so that its not 2 broad. that has def given me some ideas to talk to my partner about as we get to do it in pairs this year.

 thanks again

CLL and PSRN are good ones to do as these are often not challenged enough in the outdoor environment by staff as they feel it often belongs in doors - but believe me most of what you can do indoors can be extended outdoors.

So good luck
