Sometimes its hard, but I like it. I assess NVQ4. I had more than 2 day training. Have you experenced yourself what is like to be a candidate?
It all depends whom you work with...candidates, provider..

It just helps you to understand what your candidates go hrouhg and the process itself if you had you NVQ. It is true that you assess competence, but it is rearly that candidates "fail" it is rather they are not competent YET or htere where no evidence to prove it.
I still feel tough a pressue from Internal Verifier that you have to move on your candidates as we have assigned just certain amount of visits per candidate and you have to sign off 9 units using those visits. Its financial issues....
Not all candidates are quick or at the level required and then I feel bigger pressure on me..., but I never do anything for them! My responsibility is to plan, review, feedback, assess, sign, support, advice...that what I do.
