Hi Everyone.
Im new here. I was wondering if anyone had purchased the NDNA starting a nursery pack? If so was it worth the money or am I better of doing my own research?

Danni, research albeit a long process, is a valueable process as you learn where to look for information, you share your views and opinions with others in the field and you in most cases save yourself alot of money. I have found a great deal of help and information, including links and downloads, through this forum and indeed from Maestro. You may get all of the information all at once from websites and memberships but I prefer asking the question what has worked for you? This way you learn from peoples experiences and you get to see the hard work that goes into the world of Nursery Management. I tend to find and adapt some NHS policies and procedures as they seem to have a similar ethos to what I am aiming for.
I'm sure there are many benefits for memberships to different associations etc but imagine how much money you could spend in a year on memberships.

I'm current writing the policy etc. for my nursery, get hold of the statutory framework for early years foundation stage, it is fee and took 2 days to arrive, it has all the info you need to run a nursery, I'm going through the leagl requirments and higlighting what policy I need from that, if your not sure where to start with a policy check the web. you can also ring ACAS for any advise on HR issues which is free. If you feel this is too much then pay the money but I woukld try this first.
