I wondered if any one is doing or recently has done the foundation degree in early years and could give me advice on which books i may need?

I have just completed it !!! It is the advanced in early years for level 4 and 5  by Kay and Macleoud Key times for play... is another by another author. doind your research project by robert someone... moisac approach there is loads...  of books... the team and the child, creativity its ll depends what module yoy are doing.,,

If you do the FD with the OU all your books are included.

Your course reading list should be your starting point but I found 'Understanding Early Years' by Louise Dryden et al, 'Like Bees, not Butterflies' - Sally Featherstone useful. Helen Penn's book 'understanding early childhoood' really challenged me and made me take a good look at my practice, it also gave me some really clear arguements for my assignments.
