RE: flour glue

RE: flour glue

Just in case you and your group decide to try out some alternative glues.

I came across this recipe for natural glue in: The creative family by Amanda Blake Soule.  I only came across it today and remembered your post, so I haven't tried it out......

Combine a 3:1 ratio of flour and sugar in a saucepan.  Slowly add cold water until a paste froms.  Stir over heat until the mixture thickens.  Add 1 teaspoon of white vinegar.

It says; this glue will keep in the refridgerator for several weeks.  Allow the  glue to warm to room temperature before using it.

Coincidentally our role-play room has been transformed into a castle and would love to recreate a castle.  Confession -  junk-modelling is one of my weak points.  Am having trouble envisioning how you plan to use egg cartons to make it......would love some tips.
