This may sound like a stupid question to ask but does anyone know any places to look for jobs working with children.
Having completed my NVQ 3 in CCLD i really want to get a job working with children as i want this so much.
Thanks

when i was stuck, i looked up nurseries in the phone book near me, rang round asking if there was any positions, they usually asked me to send a c.v if there was or wasn't then waited to hear. otherwise look in your local paper for job advertisments, your local council website for jobs in child care, job centre etc.

when i was looking i went onto the ofsted web mpage and looked at all the nurserys with a 30mile radius it gave me all the addresses and backgroung knowledge of the setting which helped me in my interview.

Our local )-19 produce a vacancy bulletin every month or so, maybe your area has the same thing? All local settings can advertise their jobs for free in it.

I did the same as Rachyroo when i qualified and got a couple of interviews straight away at Private Day nurseries in my area, ringing direct always helps.

Also i looked on the local council website for my area and nhs and gave a description of what job i was looking for and then they would email me when a suitable job came up. Worked for me! Although these jobs are more rare than the ones in Private Day nurseries.
