second jobs

I have completed an NVQ 3 in Children's Care,Learning and Development, and really want to work with children.
At the moment i work 4 days a week in a supermarket. As some childcare jobs are only part time,i would like to also stay on part time with the supermarket.
Would this put potential employers off employing me(please be honest!).
Thanks

I think it would depend on how flexible you could be.
I would be happy to take someone part time, but it would be on an open hours contract, so you may work mon tues weds one week but different hours the following week.
How that would fit in with a second job would be tricky. However not impossible
Good luck

ive worked in a nursery for 8 years and always had a 2nd job alongside as nursery wages dont pay alot, now i have started my degree i have not got the time to work 2 jobs but aslong as your honest and your nursery job comes first then it should not be a problem.

One of my assistants works in a supermarket in the evenings and has done for a couple of years. This does not affect her job with me at all (she had the supermarket job first!) and she seems to cope with it fine.
