Are Callum and Connor the 'naughty' boys?

Are Callum and Connor the 'naughty' boys?

Obviously a good practitioner would never label the children in their care, and especially tag them 'naughty'. But does this study of 3,000 teachers ring true in your settings with Callum and Connor, Chelsea and Courtney proving to be, erm,  'more of a handful'?! (is there something about 'C' names?)

The lists are:

Top 10 Naughtiest Boys

1 Callum

2 Connor

3 Jack

4 Daniel

5 Brandon

6 Charlie

7 Kyle

8 Liam

9 Jake

10 Brooklyn

Top 10 Naughtiest Girls

1 Chelsea

2 Courtney

3 Chardonnay

4 Aleisha

5 Casey

6 Crystal

7 Jessica

8 Brooke

9 Demi

10 Aisha

Callum, definately but also spelt Kalum! Connor is good but Michael is a challenge!

All my Jessica's are good but the Amelia's seem to the one's with attitude!

Lol!

I dont think a child can be labeled 'naughty' because of thier name. The enviroment/interactions which the child experiences as he/she develops may cause the behaviour you speak of. Also if a practitioner /person has preconceptions about children with these names this may influence how they interact and communicate with these  children.Although we know this should not happen. Also word of mouth can influence an initial meeting with a child. If you have been told something negative about the family of the child/siblings this may also have painted the child in a negative light before you have even met them.Although we know not to listen to gossip dont we?

What a load of rubbish practitioners who are labelling children because of their name should get out of this line of work.

The word naughty should never be used in the early years labelling a child can have a devestating affect on a childs self esteem which can lead to problems in later life.
