Sterilising Materials

Sterilising Materials

by: tracy - 30-08-09 18:49

Hello I just wanted to know what procedures other people had in their setting for sterilising and cleaning equipment - I mean what do you use? I have heard several stories about using milton tablets and I just would like to know what other people views were

Thanks Tracy

well in our nursery we can not use milton because it is not on our coshh list so we have to use miltex same as milton the only diffrence is we after wipe it off with water which in my mind defeats the whole point

Thanks Lee

We have to rinse our equipment also. Some Nurseries put thier equipment in the dishwasher - have you heard about this?

Silly question Lee hickie, but why don't you get a COSHH sheet for Milton then problem solved - you only have to ask !!!

Check that it is milton. Sometimes I buy sterilising fluid that is not milton, although we have the correct safety sheets etc... everyone still refers to it as milton!
