hi can a childminder and her assistant look after more than 10 children?

So long as there is enough space and approval from the local planning department a childminder and an assistant could have up to 12 children under eight including their own. Children over eight don't count in the registration numbers, but the EYFS says care of older children must not compromise the welfare of the younger onces.
