How hearing loss affects communication skills!

Hi, My name is Kirsty and i am currently studying a BTEC National Diploma in CHildren's Care Learning and Development. I am undertaking a research project on how hearing loss can affect a childs communication skills and development.

I have been collecting research from all areas of media but would love for some help of people that work with children.

My younger sister has to wear hearing aids and this is why this topic intrests me. I havce had a little help from my parents on how i developed differently to my sister, but it would be great to see a teachers view on this!

If you have any information or ideas that you could please share i would be very grateful!

You could look at language acquistion. How does it vary between typically developing children and hearing impaired children.
