Creative ideas needed!

I'm about to redesign one of the rooms in the nursery (the 2 year old room). It is painted lilac, I'm going to go for a lilac/purple theme maybe with a bit of pink and silver too. I want lots of things hanging from the ceiling like bead cutains as room dividers to separate off the creative area. I want to create a cosy corner in it for sleep/quiet time with voile etc draped over the ceiling to make a little 'roof', I'd like it to have a sort of 'Arabic tent' feel and have lots of cushions in it. What else could I do, any ideas?

If it was my room i would prefer it to be painted a cream colour and have the brightness coming from the childrens work/photographs. I prefer not to have too many things hanging here and there as i think it can distract the children. Like the idea of the cosy corner and the messy area a must! Like using lots of photographs alongside the childrens work on display and in homemade books as this prompts languge, i find it also helps make relationships with parents who may be 'shy' or find it diffiult to communicate as they have the opportunity to see and then speak about what their child has been doing. Heuristic play resources are also a must for me as children at this age love to sort collect and transport, this play supports many types of schemas. Our two year old room has all the play areas on offer just on a smaller scale due to the size of the room. Hope this helps x
