new senco role, pay increase?

hi all, 

i am a full time nursery nurse and ive recently took on the role as early years senco. i manage the educational needs for children 1-3 years old.  i feel this new role has alot more added responabilties and extra work load, which i am expected to do with no allocated senco time.  am i entitled to a pay rise doing this new role?

not entitled, no but you could negotiate

None of my designated officers got a pay rise, they rise to the challenge as part of their CPD.

Fraid not generally only school settings that give extra money for extra responsiblity. It's worth asking, you maybe lucky but i have never known it to happen.
