Hi can any of you tell me if your local authority,like ours.....makes it a rule that you MUST keep all your currently funded childrens places OPEN from the end of July until the beg of Sept and the new funded term.Is it just ours or do other LA's not stipulate that.......

Tish I don't see how they can tell you to keep places open but with the huge school exodus why wouldn't you want to? I have 80 children on roll I lose 30+ every July and have to build up again but I value the pre-school places because I know I am getting on average 14g in September to start off my term, (two thirds of total).

thanks Bagpuss..the problem is the returning children......i too have third of our roll leaving for school....but some are returning...those are the places I have to keep open according to our LA....same as u ?
