Hi all Im looking for some advice for my essay due in on friday its on the national curriculum basiclaly looking at the background to it and looking at the arguments for and against a core curriculum considering how this impacts upon teaching learning and assessment. I have my content and have read a lot im just hvaing trouble structuring it so that the arguement flows well and makes sense at the moment feel as though i keep making the same points!!I think im generally exhausted from so many assignments i cant think clear anymore :( any advice or tips would be very much appreciated

My advice is breathe and relax. Look at the notes you have got and build on the arguments you have made by using relevant references to support them. Make sure you have explained the arguments and go through it slowly and bit by bit. take rests away from it and keep calm x

i think you've already got your structure: consider the background (what prompted the development of a national Curriculum, where was the inspiration taken from etc). Arguments for and against for each of the areas - teaching, learning and assessment. justify what you say with references, quotes, examples and write a strong introduction and conclusion. You're already there! just walk away for a bit then come back to it to 'polish it'! And good luck!

thanks for the advice guys iv had a break away and calmed down a bit hopefully i will tackle it tomorow i think iv stressed so much that iv given myself a mental block!x
