First - I must apologise to Ashleigh who is presently posting many job ads on the forum for a nursery position overseas. Ashleigh, this post is in no way meant to annoy, upset, or disparage you in any way so I hope you understand that I am simply posting it as a warning about nasty people who advertise for Nursery staff overseas and not genuine people who are advertising for staff.
So here it is - has anyone read the book 'Slave Girl: I Was an Ordinary British Girl. I Was Kidnapped and Sold into Sex Slavery. This is My Horrific True Story'?
It is the true story of a girl who answered an ad to work in a Nursery overseas, she explained that the ad appeared genuine - asking for Level 3 or above only, and was posted in her local newspaper. She was accepted for the post and sent a plane ticket. When she arrived at the airport she was taken to a brothel and kept under armed guard until she managed to escape.
I just think that young, vunerable girls should be very wary when accepting positions overseas.

That does sound horrific. Did she go through an interview process?
I did a ski season abroad with a well known company, and went through the usual process of filling out applications, attending interviews and training.
I agree, you should always be very wary, and do lots of research beforehand.

Yes, have read this book. It took palce in the 90's. She responded to an ad in her local paper which all looked very offical. she had an interview over the phone, they asked her relevant questions and told her they would get in touch to tell her if she was successful or not. After awarding her the 'job' they paid for her flight over. When she arrived they told her they needed to keep hold of her passport as it is customary to do so.
Ends up spending years in a brothal and taking part in recorded sex games based around russian roulet. The worst part was that somebody was pretending to be her and calling her mum once a week from a bar or club so it was busy, so that her mum wasnt suspicious
