If Ofsted attend to investigate a complaint and are satisfied with the response and can see no cause for concern and so don't persue the complaint will they still do a full inspection?

Apparently not, we just had one, We told them it was a malicious complaint, they cane out and agreed there was no need,

One thing I don't like is that when a complaint has been made and investigated by Ofsted, and the complaint has not been withheld. Ofsted actually say the complaint has not been withheld, why on earth do they ask you to place details of the complaint in your records? They say it is 'good practice' It is not 'good practice' for financial reasons grrrrrr.

We weren't asked to do that on ours that wasn't upheld. I suppose though that it shows prosepctive parents that actually we had an on the spot check and Ofsted were happy with our current practice.
