On average how many staff meetings do you have to attend? Are they beneficial to the setting? Do you get paid to attend or time back owed? I am doing some homework here for research into a topic. All answers greatly recieved!

We have a weekly planning meeting within each room to plan next weeks activities and discuss key issues/children etc. we then also have an whole nursery staff meeting once a month which is where we discuss nursery news, updates and train each other. These are very useful as it keeps us all upto date and informed, although it means I work 13hrs a lot of days and only get paid for 8hrs!

Our staff teaqm decided to have a meeting on the first Wednesday of every month and everyone attends unless they are on leave or ill.  At these meetings we discuss any concerns we may have about anything and also what we want to do next or how we think we can improve.  Everyone gets a say in all of this and everyone says it's useful.  We all get paid for 2 hours if we attend the meetings.
