EYPS recruitment

For the second time I have tried and failed to recruit an EYPS Level 7 or a QTS . Do other nursery's have this problem in small towns? Are we still supposed to legally have them in 2015?

Is there none of your staff that could do the training?

Not everyone has the capabilities of academia unfortunately three of us started OU and only one of us is still doing it! I am, the full time owner/manager. Then it is another 12 months to top up to EYPS or PGCE away from the Nursery.

I'm surprised thought it would be snapped up! Hard to get eyps jobs where I am!

the short pathway is only 6 months- I've just finished it- awaiting my setting visit now
this involved only 5 days away from the setting to attend uni- but you can claim cover to pay for supply
you can even do top-up and EYPS at the same time which is a longer course (12 months i think)
