EYPS Interview

Hi all!
I have an interview for my top-up and EYPS next week and was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on what to expect in terms of presentation ideas. Im confident enough to speak to strangers but i dont want to be boring or babble as i feel this is ineffective!
ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks :)

I am starting my EYP course in September so I would say talk about your passions, why you want to be an EYP, what difference it will make to your practice and most importantly what difference it will make to the children in your care.
Good luck!

Hi
Familiarise yourself with the standards for EYPS and talk about how you aim to implement them
Good Luck

Bear in mind that the standards are being revised and are due to be finalised later this month and published in June.
Hopefully the provider will have sent you a list of the proposed standards

Don't forget to dress like you could be running a nursery - first impressions count.
Good Luck

Hi I've recently had an interview (and was successful) for the same position. As well as more informal getting to know you professionally chat they asked some of the below questions:
what do you understand equal opportunities to mean?
what does working in partnership with parents mean, can you give some examples?
how do you deal with conflict between team members?
how do you help children and parents deal with seperation.
Agree with the comment about interview dress. I really think you cant go wrong with a crisp, white shirt and black trousers. Always flat shoes though, as you do want to look like you can fit right in to the nursery and I have never seen managers or 'ground level' staff in heels.
GOOD LUCK!
