Hi all,
I have just got all the folders and course info from the nec was wondering if anyone is currently doing this course. I had a look at the CYPW diploma but preferred this. Can anyone recommend any up to date books?

is it a license to practice? it seems very sparse and says LEADS to the cache level 3 diploma? I dont think i would emply someone who hasnt been assessed as competent in practice. Anyone can write an essay but not neccesarily do the job.

yes, it qualifies you to work in a preschool. It has been running for years and this is the 2012 up to date version

i wonder why it says 'leads' to the level 3 diploma.

i think it says 'leads to' because of the way it is accessed only the final assignment is sent to CACHE for moderation. I don't think there is any problem with it, all the preschool assistants at my placement have done their DDP with the nec the same route.
