Christmas Party....

by: Lola :-) - 10-12-12 19:04

Every year we invite ALL the children to our Christmas Party. We are only a small nursery and only registered to 32children per day. We have arund 50 children registrered in total. We have always been full on our party day, invitiing children to come for an hour and a half to meet santa n join in soe party games. Our ratios are met but our registration numbers are exceeded. Is this allowed??? And does any other Nursery do any sort of annual Xmas party??

We do the same, only we have parents present at all times. Therefore my staff are not actually responsible for the children (or ratios) and can chat with parents without having to keep an eye on the little ones.

We just had ours past sunday at local indoor play centre....parents come too...we have private hire for 2 hrs.. after they close at 4pm sundays. We had a lovely time, part of the cost met from summer fete fundraising, and  I pay the rest and for the presents....we shop all year around for bargains so presents are worth about £3 but cost only £1 if we are careful..Father Christmas comes too (they have a lovely little grotto there )so all taken care of -staff love it---they get to act like children on all the equipment...children also get a sweetie bag on leaving again shopping carefully makes it very cheap....Hope all your psrties this week or next are fun for the children xx

We run two parties on our busiest days and we keep within our 39 registration. We also serve healthy picnic food and normal lunchtime juice just incase Ofsted visit and down grade us for unhealthy meals. We had parents at our Jubilee which was great fun.
