Starfleur, I know what you mean by take the mick!!  The more we seem to do at our nursery above and beyond the call of duty or contract is not rewarded by thanks and well done.  It is just then expected time and time again and gradually becomes part of the job.  Our manager is quick to get stuck in to the nitty gritty and will give praise where it's due but not the owners they just want more and more.  Really wonder why i am study a childcare qualification because I don't think I need one to clean and do minor diy around the nursery, I thought nursery nurses looked after children or have I misunderstood that concept!!!! LOL
