i agree 100% with you. in the last nursery i worked in it was only the head of sections and managers who were signed up for EYFS trainng, the others were not informed. in fact i was only told about the white book that comes around every few months with lists of training courses when i was in the job for 8 mths or so!

 

like you, i will never put my baby in a day nursery(currently 4 mths pregnant ) mostly because i dont want him or her exposed to the EYFS and staff who come into the setting smelling of cigarettes and also the bad quality foods that seem to be in nurseries.
