I run a private pre-school and I hardly ever say no to requests providing I can afford it (or find a grant to afford it) and also see the need. Luckily my staff don't tend to make outlandish requests and sand, paint, paper etc is usually quite plentiful. I'm not in it to make a profit - there is no such thing in childcare!
